Erasing Report

After the operation Eraser will show you the summary of results in the Erasing Report window.

The window consist of the following sections:

Status
 
Tells you whether Eraser was able to complete the task without interruptions. Even though the task is completed, it does not mean that all data was successfully erased. The possible values are:  
 
Task completed.  
All overwriting was completed.  
 
Task terminated by user.  
Overwriting could not be completed, because user terminated the operation.  
 
Task was not completed.  
An error occurred during overwriting that prevented Eraser from completing the task.  

Information
 
Total size of erased area (including cluster tip area).  
 
Cluster tips (the size of the cluster tip area erased; this is how much possibly sensitive data may have been on your drive without you ever knowing).  
 
Total amount of data written (should be equal to the amount of passes multiplied with the total size of the erased area.  
 
Time used (how long it took to write the data to the disk; actual time required may be longer due to other tasks performed during operation - like creating folders, deleting files, etc.).  
 
Speed (the write speed)  

Failures
 
Shows you a list of items that could not be properly processed or errors that occurred during overwriting.
